In $hang's King Venus shoot, we wanted to play with historic elements, inspired by iconic women of the past like Joan of Arc and Queen Elizabeth. We paired these costume pieces with modern twists to play on $hang's signature edge.
Like a lot of our work, this series of photos was shot by Porsha Antalan on location at Paris On Ponce and at her very own Femqua Photography Studio.
It took us quite some time to locate realistic pieces from these eras, but the search was well worth it. Our quest for realistic costumes and props gave the shoot a totally authentic feel.
Although the images from this particularly project were never released, this high concept shoot was one of our favorites to put together.
